SECOND SATELLITE PARK SCHEME FOR CHANCERYGATE
Posted on: September 13, 2016
Leading industrial developer, Chancerygate, has purchased a vacant 18,000 sq ft unit on a 1.5 acre site at Satellite Park in Chadderton, Oldham from NOV. The acquisition will bring back into use through extensive refurbishment the ex-Kawasaki Motorcycles unit which has remained empty for many years. When completed it will provide a prominent industrial unit fronting Greengates.
Chancerygate is also developing a 60,000 sq ft parcel distribution unit for DPD at Satellite Park which has now entered into an Agreement for Lease. A planning application has been submitted, with works programmed to start in early 2017. A CGI of the DPD unit to be constructed is attached.
Mike Walker, Development Director for Chancerygate in the North West commented: “We felt our purchase of this redundant building was a great opportunity for us as we will soon be on site at Satellite Park delivering the DPD unit and it will enable a fundamentally good building to be brought back into use. There is a lack of good quality industrial space in North Manchester and with the unit comprehensively refurbished it will provide quality industrial space with good eaves height and a large secure yard. Its location will be of interest to occupiers looking for a prominent location in North Manchester”
CBRE acted for NOV on the sale and will be retained on the marketing of the unit with B8 Real Estate.
