Ian Hawksworth

Ian Hawksworth joined the Chancerygate Board in May 2021 as a non-executive director. He is the chief executive of Shaftesbury Capital PLC, the leading central London mixed-use listed REIT. Ian has over 37 years’ experience in large scale commercial property investment, development and asset management across the world. Having trained in London he moved to Asia joining Hongkong Land with responsibility for commercial property across Asia becoming an executive director for 10 years. He returned to the UK in 2006 as managing director of Capital & Counties PLC and executive director of Liberty International PLC, a FTSE-100 real estate company at the time.

Ian is a Fellow of the RICS and is active in the global real estate profession having been a global board member of the Urban Land Institute, a former chair of AFIRE and a current member of the British Property Federation Policy Committee.
